I just completed my fourth large revision deeming all previous copies of the manuscript to be literal pieces of crap.
That means that there are a couple of really crappy copies with beta readers, and that makes me wish I could go back in time and wait until now to give them my manuscript.
Will this fourth copy ever be thrown into the pile of unworthy crapola?
I certainly hope not. This last revision really went through a lot. A couple of chapters that I was never excited about have been changed to a much greater excitability. I have moved some things around for smoother reading. Grammar and spelling continues to be errors that can be found, but in this last round, I really think we got most of them.
It’s truly amazing how many people have read this manuscript, and much smarter people than me, and still mistakes continue to be found. I guess that’s normal when it comes to a 95,000 word document.
It’s good enough for querying. That I am sure of. With the amount of man hours put into this, it just has to be.
Please wish me luck as I begin to throw myself at agents like a needy high school groupie at a NKOTB concert.
