Why should I write a book?

For years, I have fantasized about writing a book. I keep my mind occupied by writing short stories in my head while driving, massaging, or cleaning my house.

Massage Therapy is such an unusual job. I find myself smirking or even laughing out loud at some of the stories that this profession has written within the walls of a massage room.

Sometimes in these periods of reflection, a flashback memory of an ill intentioned man on my table will flood my brain-space and the feelings of shame and discomfort come back to me by way of force, making my stomach turn and my skin crawl.

It is not, ‘should I write a book?’ It is: I have to write a book.

Massage Therapy is so much more than the world knows it to be. There is beauty, humor, and deep human connection that I need to unveil. There is also darkness within this field that needs to brought to light.

With this profession rapidly increasing in popularity, it is the perfect time to share my stories, and I love the art of storytelling.

I have to write a book.
